Gamble Plantation Historic State Park


If you’re looking for a unique and fun way to spend your lunch break, head over to Gamble Plantation Historic State Park located at 3708 Northeast, Patten Ave, Ellenton, FL 34222. You can spend an hour or two strolling the gorgeous grounds and enjoying a picnic. While you’re there, take in the history at the state park’s museum and mansion. The mansion is open for tours daily, starting at 9:30am.

For a fun, family-friendly experience, head to Treasure Island Beach or the Treasure Island Premium Outlets. Treasure Island is home to the Legoland Florida Resort. Clearwater Beach is a popular destination for fishing and other activities. Stirling Art Studios and Gallery and The Ringling are other popular attractions in the area. You can also experience a day at the beach or take a fishing tour. While you’re in the area, don’t forget to check out the Ringling Museum and Gardens.

You can also explore the Village of the Arts, a thriving community of artists in Bradenton. This historic village features over 30 businesses, including art studios, galleries, cafes, healing arts, fashion, books, and more. And, best of all, you can explore the beautiful historic cottages from the 1920’s and 30’s. And you’ll be able to learn about local art and history as you wander through the streets.

You can also visit the Children’s Museum of Florida to learn about the history of the area. The Museum contains over 30,000 square feet of interactive environments and programs that help children extend their formal education in the arts, science, humanities, health sciences, math, and more. Home school groups can even book a field trip, so long as there are at least ten children in the group. The museum also has a museum with original photographs that are available for viewing.

There is also a Stone Crab Claw Plant, open during the crab season from October to May, where you can sample the fresh stone crab claws and other local seafood. The plant was originally opened in 1906, but was later converted into a museum. The original stock remains there. A trip to the museum will be unforgettable, as you’ll be able to enjoy your meal and learn about the history of the plantation.

You can also check out Howard Solomon’s castle, located about an hour east of Bradenton. The castle features beautiful gardens, an art gallery, and a unique boat-in-the-moat restaurant. While you’re here, don’t miss the chance to visit the Museum of Science & Nature. The museum features a planetarium with an advanced digital projection system, and is home to the Parker Manatee Aquarium. There are also year-round events and exhibits that highlight the local history and culture.
