Animal encounter shows
When planning a vacation to Florida, a place to visit that is not to be missed is the Sarasota Jungle Garden. This tourist attraction was first opened in 1939 and features more than ten acres of botanical plantings and animal shows. Whether you’re interested in eagles, monkeys, tigers, or lions, Sarasota Jungle Gardens is sure to please.
Located on the beautiful Florida Gulf Coast, Sarasota Jungle Gardens is home to over 200 native and exotic animals, including many varieties of parrots and macaws. There are also primates, lemurs, dozens of reptiles, and a plethora of other creatures, and a large variety of frog species. Visitors can hold a parrot or two by reaching out with an arm. Parrots will hop onto your arm.
During your visit to Sarasota Jungle Gardens, you’ll also be able to watch live animal encounter shows. While these aren’t terribly close to real life, these shows are an excellent way to learn more about exotic animals. If you have children, don’t forget to bring them along! They’ll have a blast watching the animals perform and interact with people.
When it comes to summer camps, few places offer as much fun as Zoo camp at the Sarasota Jungle Gardens. Sarasota Jungle Gardens is an incredible tourist destination that has been operating for more than a century. This park offers over 10 acres of botanical plantings and shows. The kids can learn about the animals and birds that call the city home, and enjoy bird and animal shows, too!
The kids who attend zoo camp will get to learn about the life of a zookeeper, while having fun while doing it. The program runs from June 13 to Aug. 12 and offers educational activities as well as arts and crafts. Kids can attend from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. The price is $34 per day, but the experience is well worth it. A great place to also visit is Jumpin Fun Inflata Park.
If you are visiting Florida, the Flamingo Cafe at Sarasota Jungle Gardens should be on your list of things to do. Not only do you get to see some of the most beautiful birds and animals in the world, but you can also enjoy some delicious food and drink while watching the flamingos. There are two locations to enjoy the flamingos: the Flamingo Cafe located inside the Gardens and the Flamingo Cafe located outside.
The Jungle Gardens have a great Kids’ Jungle for little ones, featuring a tree house, haunted tree, tiger swings, and a custom wooden train. The gardens are known for their birthday parties, which is why they also have a Flamingo cafe on site. You can also bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the tropical garden with your kids. The garden is open from 9am to 5pm, and children can enjoy it all year long.
Exotic pet ownership
The animals at the Sarasota Jungle Gardens have been rescued from subpar and sometimes abusive conditions. Exotic pet ownership in Florida is above average due to the climate and the habit of importing exotic animals. While this practice is a major problem in some areas, Florida has no such laws and allows irresponsible owners to release their unwanted pets in the wild. Florida’s subtropical climate also provides an ideal environment for exotic pet ownership, as many animals are able to survive and reproduce in the warm, sunny climate.
Visitors to Sarasota Jungle Gardens can see some of the world’s most unusual animals up close and personal. The park offers daily animal shows featuring reptiles and birds. During the Reptile Encounters show, guests can get up close and personal with some of the reptiles on display. You can also check out the show featuring winged and feathered creatures, such as owls and parrots. Browse next article.
